While Valentine’s Day is still more than a month away, Watermark is already in the mood for love so we are back to play Cupid for LGBTQ singles in the Central Florida and Tampa Bay area for 2020.

We are again looking for 10 eligible LGBTQ singles throughout our readership area — five out of Tampa Bay and five out of Central Florida — to feature in a very special Valentine’s Day issue of Watermark.

PHOTOS: Watermark’s Swipe Right Party Tampa Bay 2019

ST. PETERSBURG | Watermark celebrated love and the release of our second annual Most Eligible Singles issue with our latest Tampa Bay Swipe Right Party held at G St Pete Feb. 7.

The LGBTQ singles mixer featured several of Tampa Bay’s most eligible singles with light bites provided by Iberian Rooster. Attendees were given bracelets representing if they were looking or taken, with blue indicating they were looking for individuals who identify as male, purple for individuals who identify as female and yellow for individuals who identify as non-binary. Orange represented those who were taken and celebrants were free to wear as many as they felt appropriately expressed themselves. Check out some of our photos below.

We look back on 2018, a midterm year for a country that’s just living on a prayer

It’s been two years since we, as a country, entered into the reality that is the Trump Administration. The country feels more divided than ever and the phrases “fake news” and “it’s all a witch hunt” are commonplace.

The violence that seems to define who Americans are these days is also there, particularly in Florida, where there has been no justice for the five transgender women of color who were murdered and yet another mass shooting—this time at a high school in Parkland, Fla.—pulled the focus of the world to our state.
