DUNLAP, Ind. – A northern Indiana school district says it has fired a coach who tweeted about burning down a pizza shop after its owners said they wouldn’t cater a gay wedding because of their religious beliefs.
Concord Community Schools Superintendent Wayne Stubbs confirmed to The Goshen News that Jessica Dooley was terminated on April 20. Dooley was the head coach of the girls golf program and also an assistant coach with the softball and girls basketball programs.

Donations for Memories Pizza in Walkerton, Indiana, have poured in to the website gofundme.com on April 2 to help “relieve the financial loss endured by the proprietors’ stand for faith.” The site had collected 5,777 donations totaling $163,621 as of 1:15 p.m. Thursday in New York.
South Bend, Ind. – Less than a week after Indiana Governor Mike Pence told George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s This Week that the new “religious freedom” law had nothing to do with discriminating against gays and lesbians, an Indiana pizza restaurant owner has decided to use the law to discriminate against gays and lesbians.
“If a gay couple came in and wanted us to provide pizzas for their wedding, we would have to say no,” said Crystal O’Conner to WBND News 57 in South Bend, Indiana.
