Miley Cyrus says she left Christian church over ‘anti-LGBTQ’ beliefs

Miley Cyrus has revealed that she turned away from her Christian church as a teen because of its anti-LGBTQ beliefs.

The 27-year-old singer, who came out as pansexual in 2015, made the disclosure during her new Instagram Live talk show, “Bright Minded,” as part of an interview with model Hailey Beiber, who is the daughter of actor (and conservative Christian activist) Stephen Baldwin and the wife of pop star Justin Beiber.

Taylor Swift accepts ‘Video of the Year’ at VMAs with drag performers

Taylor Swift opened MTV’s 2019 Video Music Awards on Monday with a performance of her pro-LGBTQ anthem “You Need to Calm Down” which ultimately won Video of the Year, the biggest award of the night.

Swift performed the song along with bestie Todrick Hall and a slew of drag performers who also performed with Miley Cyrus during her 2015 VMAs performance of “Dooo It.” Swift later slowed things down with her first live performance of the single “Lover.”

The first trailer for the “Charlie’s Angels” reboot has arrived starring Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska as the private detective trio.

In this version, the spies have multiple mentors who all go by the name Bosley. Elizabeth Banks portrays one of them. Banks also directs the film.

“Black Mirror” gave fans a first look at its upcoming fifth season with a new trailer starring Miley Cyrus.

The sci-fi anthology series is back with three brand new episodes. The trailer shows clips of Cyrus, who appears to be portraying a pop star. In one clip she dons a purple wig and gives an elaborate performance complete with back up dancers.

Miley Cyrus to kick off ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ season 11 as guest judge

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” announced some iconic guest judges for season 11, including singer Miley Cyrus who will appear in the season’s premiere episode as a guest judge. LGBTQ entertainers Lena Waithe, Troye Sivan, Wanda Sykes and Adam Rippon are among the list of names who will appear as guest judges this season.

Cyrus made the announcement in a Twitter post and can be heard the the new season’s trailer saying she’s “freaking out” while sitting at the judge’s table.

GLAAD Media Awards 2018 releases nominees

The 29th annual GLAAD Media Awards announced its 2018 nominees at the Sundance Film Festival on Friday via Trace Lysette (“Transparent”) and Wilson Cruz (“Star Trek: Discovery”).

Netflix raked in the most nominations for television with seven nominations. ABC, CBS and NBC came in at a close second with six nominations. This was also the first time the category Outstanding Kids & Family Programming was introduced which recognizes “Andi Mack,” and “Doc McStuffins,” among others, for their LGBT inclusion.
