The annual fundraiser, benefiting St Pete Pride’s Community Grants Program, was hosted by Entertainment Director Kori Stevens. Ahead of Loeb’s headlining performance, crowds gathered at North Straub Park to celebrate with fan favorite entertainers like Divine AF and Jennifer Real.
ST. PETERSBURG | The Tampa Bay Rays triumphed over the Los Angeles Angels during the team’s annual Pride Night at Tropicana Field June 14.
A total of 21,598 Pride and sports enthusiasts attended the game, which began after Tampa Mayor Jane Castor threw the first pitch, Congressman Charlie Crist said a few words and fan favorite entertainer Jennifer Real sang the National Anthem. The Rays spent five innings behind at 4-0 before scoring five times in the sixth and adding four runs in the seventh, winning 9-4.
Hamburger Mary’s Tampa was the sight of the 2018 edition of Watermark’s annual WAVE Awards Party. Helping us celebrate with the WAVE winners you selected as Tampa Bay’s favorites, was a bevy of beauties. Amy DeMilo hosted a show that featured our WAVE award winner for favorite local performer Alexis De La Mer, “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 10 contestant Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, singer Jennifer Real and drag queens Jasmine Jimenez, Esme Russell and Desiree A. DeMornay.

St. Petersburg | Metro Wellness & Community Centers has announced that its Celebrate 25 Gala, held this year on Nov. 11, raised just over $65,000 after expenses for programs and services for LGBTQ youth and seniors.
The event was hosted by comedian Christine O’Leary, nominated by Curve Magazine to be one of the “50 Funniest Lesbians in America,” with additional entertainment provided by local favorites Jennifer Real and DJ Bill Kody. It generated record attendance for the organization, which holds a gala annually to raise funds and celebrate the community, with over 500 attendees gathering to commemorate Metro’s 25th year.

ST. PETERSBURG | Metro Wellness & Community Centers will commemorate its 25th year during their annual gala on Nov. 11, and the community it does so much to support is invited to help celebrate the organization’s landmark anniversary.
Community members can attend the organization’s Great Gatsby Gala, held at the appropriately-titled Gatsby’s, from 7:00-11:00 p.m. in Clearwater. For $50, attendees will enjoy an open bar, dinner, dancing and live entertainment, with collected funds used to support “life-changing LGBT programs for the youth, seniors, and transgender members of our community.”
Watch out, J.Lo: Tampa Bay has a Jennifer of its own, and she knows a thing or two about being “Real.”
Jennifer Real’s commitment to her craft has ensured that her career has flourished in the St. Petersburg community. The sultry singer won last year’s “Favorite Local Performer – Musician” WAVE Award and performs regularly throughout Tampa Bay, including last year’s WAVE Award celebration and (you may have heard of it), St. Pete Pride.

The Flamingo Resort hosted the event in their new Blu Room Theatre with flowers designed by The Flower Centre of St. Petersburg. First place winners took home awards in beautiful frames courtesy of Tyrone’s Frame and Mirror.
Tampa Bay’s Watermark readers came out in droves to celebrate the winners of the 2016 WAVE Awards at Southern Nights Tampa.
They enjoyed specialty purple cocktails, light bites from Puff n’ Stuff catering, and entertainment by Judy B. Goode, Jennifer Real, the Scott and Patti Show and Ashlee T. Bangkx.
Many words are used to describe the musical stylings of Jennifer Real: powerful, soulful, sultry. But the most accurate may be the one given to her at birth: Real.
