Miley Cyrus has revealed that she turned away from her Christian church as a teen because of its anti-LGBTQ beliefs.

The 27-year-old singer, who came out as pansexual in 2015, made the disclosure during her new Instagram Live talk show, “Bright Minded,” as part of an interview with model Hailey Beiber, who is the daughter of actor (and conservative Christian activist) Stephen Baldwin and the wife of pop star Justin Beiber.

A week after winning an Oscar for writing Best Original Song, “I’m Gonna Love Me Again” from “Rocketman” with longtime writing partner Bernie Taupin, Sir Elton John was forced to call an early end to a concert in New Zealand after losing his voice.

The legendary pop star and LGBTQ icon is in the midst of his three-year “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour and was visibly emotional as he was led offstage at a concert in Auckland, Australia Feb. 16 after he had already performed for nearly two hours.

After apology, Azealia Banks doubles down on homophobia

In what might be described as a social media whirlwind over the last few days, controversial rapper Azealia Banks has apologized for one homophobic rant, before sending out a new one in a post that teased her retirement from music altogether.

It started in October, when the 28-year-old Banks posted a video on Instagram in which she called out queer singer Frank Ocean a “dumbass n****” for launching a club event called “PrEP+” and implied that gay men use the drug as an excuse for promiscuous behavior.

‘American Horror Story’ season nine title revealed

Ryan Murphy unveiled that the ninth season of “American Horror Story” will be titled “1984” in an Instagram post April 10.

Murphy posted a teaser video that shows a woman being chased by a killer through the woods in what appears to be a homage to 1980s slasher films. The woman runs into a cabin and leans against the door to hide but the killer strikes the cabin door with his knife.

Sam Smith opened up about identifying as non-binary and his struggles with body image in an interview with Jameela Jamil for the new Instagram series “I Weigh Interviews.”

“I’ve always had a bit of a war in my body and my mind. I do think like a woman in my head at times. I’ve sometimes sat there and questioned, do I want a sex change? It’s something I still think about, but I don’t think it is,” Smith told Jamil.
