Actor Garrett Clayton says Hollywood forced him to stay closeted

Actor Garrett Clayton got candid about his experience being gay in Hollywood in a new interview with Gay Times Magazine.

Clayton, 27, started his career appearing in Disney programs such as “Teen Beach Movie” and ‘Shake it Up.” He also portrayed Link Larkin in NBC’s “Hairspray Live!” In 2016, he starred as Brent Corrigan in the gay porn drama “King Cobra” but Clayton didn’t publicly come out as gay until August.

Harvey Fierstein has ‘never seen’ John Travolta in ‘Hairspray

Harvey Fierstein revealed he has no comment on John Travolta’s performance as Edna Turnblad in the 2007 “Hairspray” film because he’s never seen it.

Fierstein appeared on Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live” in promotion of the Broadway revival of “Torch Song.” Cohen asked Fierstein what he thought of Travolta’s portrayal of Edna.

Actor Garrett Clayton opened up about his sexuality by revealing he’s in a relationship with a man in an emotional Instagram post to his fans.

Clayton starred in the gay porn drama “King Cobra” alongside James Franco and Christian Slater. He has also appeared in the Disney Channel programs “Teen Beach Movie” and “Shake It Up” as well as NBC’s “Hairspray Live!” Despite the numerous roles, the  27-year-old actor has remained quiet about his private life until now.
