Add Rosie O’Donnell and her daytime talk show to the ever-growing list of rebooted entertainment. Thanks to the coronavirus pandemic the outspoken host revived her popular chat fest March 22 for a one-night-only fundraiser for the Actor’s Fund, a charitable organization that assists performers and behind-the-scenes professionals in the Entertainment Industry.

Embracing social distancing the show was live-streamed online and featured O’Donnell, safe in her garage/craft room, interviewing Broadway celebs, also safe in whatever places they keep their computers or iPhones.

Rosie O’Donnell is bringing her beloved 1990s talk show back to your screens for one night only, to benefit arts and entertainment industry workers who have been financially impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

The out actress and comedian told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement on Thursday that she would host a one-night revival of “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” this weekend as a fundraiser in support of The Actors Fund and the legion of performing arts and entertainment professionals who have found themselves unemployed indefinitely because of the cancellations and shutdowns caused by the COVID-19 outbreak. The special installment will broadcast live, on YouTube and Broadway.com, and promises a roster of A-lister guests that have pledged to appear – while practicing safe social distancing, of course, via live video from their homes.

Gloria and Emilio Estefan’s daughter Emily celebrated one year with her girlfriend, Geremy Hernández, with a touching Instagram post proclaiming her love.

The 23-year-old musician posted a snap of a polaroid of the couple captioned, “Happy anniversary to my delicate, bold, intelligent, important, honest, loving, funny (but not funnier than me), brave, compassionate, patient, badass, talented, and the most beautiful… Moon Flower. I love you. One circle exquisitely sealed in time forever. Cheers to many more, and tons more laughing.”

Gloria Estefan serves as Miami Beach Pride’s grand marshal

Miami Beach – Singer Gloria Estefan and choreographer Kenny Ortega served as grand marshals to April 13’s Miami Beach Gay Pride parade, and the former Miami Sound Machine diva wasn’t shy about voicing her support for LGBT equality.

“The gay community’s been so supportive of our music from before it was even in the mainstream,” Estefan told The Miami Herald during a kick-off event. “They were out there in the clubs in full force, always representing and supporting. I’m very happy to be celebrating the fact that I think we’re moving towards real equality.”
