Clay Aiken joins Amazon series ‘New Dogs, Old Tricks’

Clay Aiken has joined the cast of the upcoming Amazon comedy series “New Dogs, Old Tricks.”

“New Dogs, Old Tricks” is a spinoff series of the 2016 comedy film “What Happened Last Night.” The movie, which starred Amber Rose, Shelley Regner and Jake Thomas, told the story of two college students who wake up together after a night of partying. The story is told in reverse to show how the pair ended up with each other.

Clay Aiken isn’t impressed with this season of “American Idol. ”

The season two runner-up shaded Catie Turner for forgetting the lyrics during her performance of “Manic Monday” by The Bangles. Instead of criticizing Turner for the flub, the judges praised her for pulling through the song.

‘American Idol’ runner-up Aiken seeks win in NC House race

ERWIN, N.C. (AP) – Eleven years after becoming a national TV sensation, Clay Aiken still attracts a crowd in central North Carolina. In an hour he could only get a block or so down the street during an old textile town’s fall festival while fans stopped to talk and take pictures.

“I can’t believe you’re here!” exclaimed Suzanne Strickland, 23, after she and her mother left their craft booth at Erwin Denim Days. “I saw you watching `American Idol’!”
