Actor Wilson Cruz says a new documentary on the evolution of LGBTQ depictions on television is a “love letter” to the medium’s power.
It’s also a testament to how LGBTQ people and their allies harnessed TV to tell the community’s stories, said Cruz, who along with actor-comedian Wanda Sykes was an executive producer for “Visible: Out on Television.” The five-part documentary will be released Feb. 14 on the new Apple TV+ streaming service.

NEW YORK (AP) | Adam Lambert, who rose on the music scene as the runner-up on “America Idol” in 2009, says he’s happy to see more mainstream LGBTQ artists find major success.
“I think it’s less taboo to be queer in the music industry now because there’s so many cases you can point to like, ‘Oh, it worked for him. It worked for her.’ I think 10 years ago, it was a lot different,” Lambert said in a recent interview. “Ten years ago, it was kind of like no one really knew. And I met a lot of amazing people in the industry — executives, people, publicists, marketing people — who on a personal level were cool with me and totally open, but didn’t understand how this was going to work in mainstream America, or the world for that matter.”
Adam Lambert channels a ’70s classic rockstar in the video for his single “New Eyes.”
In the video, Lambert performs in a club that becomes a trippy paradise from a mysterious green potion.
Adam Lambert confirmed that he is in a relationship with model Javi Costa Polo by making it Instagram official.
Lambert posted a photo set with Polo on March 27 captioned “LUV U.” One user commented on the post “finally making it official?” Lambert replied, “for months. IG isn’t the gatekeeper of our truth!”

The 26-year-old crooner was filmed saying the statement in a video posted by Adam Lambert on Instagram. Smith and Lambert are seen on a yacht while Jackson’s song “Human Nature” is heard playing. Smith says “I don’t like Michael Jackson, but this is a good song.”
Hot Patootie, bless our souls!
We admit to being a bit skeptical about this Science Fiction, Remade Feature from FOX, but after seeing Adam Lambert in his Eddie getup we are more intrigued now.

Each time a celebrity comes out of the closet, I have mixed reactions. Part of me celebrates that another one of “us” has made the bold move to acknowledge his or her true identity. But a small part of me truly and quietly says, “Who cares?”
Coming out of the closet is a big deal. If you’re reading this column you have more than likely experienced the liberation and pain of coming out to friends and family-or are debating on whether or not to take that bold step. It’s cathartic and healthy to share your sexuality with those close to you and it also gives an example of what it means to be LGBT to those who, up until that point, may not have known a person from our community.
