Metro Inclusive Health hosts virtual ‘Coping through COVID-19’ event

Metro Inclusive Health will host “Coping through COVID-19” on Facebook March 27 from 6-7 p.m., a virtual event featuring Director of Behavioral Health Laura Rosenbluth.

The organization, which offers more than 100 health, wellness and pharmacy services throughout Tampa Bay, has implemented a number of precautions to protect the community it serves. Its LGBTQ programming went virtual beginning March 18.

“In the interest of being most responsible in light of the CDC’s recommendations regarding COVID-19, we are electing to practice social distancing within our LGBTQ+ Programs,” the organization has shared. “That said, we understand that social wellness is important and social distancing can take a negative toll on those who rely on community support and care.

“Our team has worked diligently to ensure that your virtual program experience is as smooth and meaningful as possible, but please be patient with us as we explore this new platform of connection,” the organization added.

“Coping Through COVID-19” will likely discuss these measures and more.

“What does healthy coping during COVID-19 look like?” the organization announced the virtual event March 27. “As many of us adjust to self-quarantining and spending less time in social settings, Metro Inclusive Health’s Director of Behavioral Health Laura Rosenbluth offers practical advice and solutions for supporting mental wellness for ourselves and others.”
