St Pete Pride 2020 still scheduled for June

ST. PETERSBURG | St Pete Pride has announced its 18th annual celebration is on track for June 26-28 as cancellations mount in response to COVID-19, the coronavirus declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization.

“The Board of St Pete Pride is continuing to closely monitor the spread of Covid-19 and is planning appropriate precautionary measures to keep the community safe,” organizers shared via social media March 18. “As of today … Pride Weekend remains on schedule for June 26th – June 28th 2020.”

St Pete Pride’s call for entertainers for this year’s celebration also remains live. “Whether you’re a DJ, band, solo artist, drag queen/king, dancer, comedian, community group or theatrical troupe, we want to hear from you,” they shared March 15.

“Pride Weekend in Tampa Bay is the largest Pride celebration in Florida, and one of the largest events in Tampa Bay,” St Pete Pride continued. “It takes places in St. Petersburg, Florida with multiple stages of performers, Florida’s only night-time Pride Parade and tons of events at venues throughout the area.”
