UPDATED: Central Florida drag queens to stream shows on social media as people self-quarantine, bars and clubs close

ORLANDO | Just because the bars and clubs are closed does not mean that you have to sacrifice your drag shows and cocktails.

Several queens across Central Florida are bringing their drag entertainment right into your home thanks to social media streaming.

Addison Taylor’s “Quarantined Quiz Show” 

Addison Taylor will also be streaming live on Facebook. Taylor’s “Quarantined Quiz Show” goes live March 19 starting at 7 p.m. EST.

“Quarantined Quiz Show” can be played by anyone online and viewers will have a chance to win an array of prizes including a Hover-1 Rally electric folding scooter, a giant inflatable flamingo pool float, Andrew Christian swag, gift cards, books and more.

Kitana Gemini’s #DragOutBreak

After winning some prizes in Taylor’s quiz show, you can tune into Kitana Gemini’s page for #DragOutBreak on Facebook Live March 19 for two separate online drag shows; one at 9 p.m. and one at 10 p.m.

The 9 p.m. show will feature Kaija Adonis, Athena, Kitana Gemini and Brittainy A. Derden. The 10 p.m. show will feature Eros Gemini, Atomica, Black Magix, Luna Naughty and Evelyn Adonis. Charlton Scott England will assist with all performance music.

Head to Kitana Gemini’s Facebook page for all the performers CA$H App and VENMO information so you can tip and donate to all performers, including the evening’s DJ.

Brandon Wolf’s “Quarankiki”

Equality Florida’s Brandon Wolf will host “Quarankiki,” a socially-distanced happy hour on Facebook Live March 20 from 7-8 p.m.

“What do you when you can’t go out for your usual Friday cocktails? Want to help support some of your fav local bartenders? Time to bring Happy Hour home,” Wolf wrote on the “Quarankiki” event’s page.

Wolf is going to be joined by bartender extraordinaire, Ramon Hernandez, as he shows Wolf and the viewing audience how to make amazing cocktails with your quarantine supplies while spill some tea on all things COVID-19.

You will be able to tip your bartender during the live feed while he whips up an array of quarantinis.

Erica Roberts’ “Quaren-Tunes”

WAVE-winning “Singin’ at the Savoy” with Erica Roberts is coming to your Facebook Live with “Quaren-Tunes,” a musical fundraiser for the Savoy staff, March 20 from 8-9 p.m.

Roberts will be joined by Chris May on the keyboard, Midori Sour and Marcus Ealy for this musical extravaganza.

“Quaren-Tunes” is a part of Savoy’s Guest-less Events, streaming to you from The Starlite Room, which includes its Thursday nights drag shows and Wednesday night trivia. For information on more Guest-less Events, stay tuned to Savoy’s Facebook event page.

Twila Holiday’s “Driveway Drag Show”

Miss GayDayS 2019 herself, Twila Holiday announced on her social media March 19 that “Driveway Drag Show,” a live performance on Facebook, will go live March 22 and 5 p.m.

“Hello World, TWILA HOLIDAY here alive and well,” she wrote. “With the clubs closed don’t worry we will bring the show directly to your Facebook! This SUNDAY Live on my page at 5pm. We have an amazing cast of performers and don’t worry the venue is closed for the day and big enough to spread out.”

“Driveway Drag Show” will feature performances by Holiday, Cherilyn Matthews, Bearonce Bear, Mya Buena Matthews, Crystal Michaels, Maryah Beary, Kitana Gemini, Eleanora Diamond, TianaRay Plenty, Eros Gemini, Kraven Moorehead, Savannah Lynn and Kaija Adonis. The Facebook Live feed will be directed by Joshua Orsini-Collins and Collins Creative.

VENMO @DrivewayDragShow has been set up so performers can be tipped and donations can be made during the show with 100% proceeds raised being split amongst the cast.

The Center’s Drag Queen Story Hour

The LGBT+ Center Orlando will host Drag Queen Story Hour featuring Gidget Galore on its Facebook and Instagram pages March 26 at 3 p.m. EST.

Watch Galore entertain and read some children’s stories all from the comfort of your home.

The Center, which had to cancel and postpone all fundraising events in the near future, will also be accepting donations at its website before, during and after the show. You can donate at TheCenterOrlando.com.
