Orlando Apollos partner with One Orlando Alliance to celebrate first Pride Night

UPDATE: Orlando Apollos Pride Night CANCELLED, the club is no longer in operation, effective immediately. 

ORLANDO | The Orlando Apollos, a newly formed team for the Alliance of American Football league, will be celebrating its first-ever Pride Night at the University of Central Florida’s Spectrum Stadium on April 6 at 8 p.m.

The Apollos are partnering with One Orlando Alliance, a nonprofit coalition empowering more than 30 LGBTQ organizations in Central Florida.

The Apollos also announced that a portion of the game’s ticket sales will be donated to member communities of One Orlando Alliance. Attendees will have the option to choose the member organization that receive the donation.

They will also be giving away 3,000 rainbow ribbons at the game in support of The Orlando Ribbon Project. The project was started after the Pulse tragedy and promotes love and hope, as well as remembers the 49 lives lost that night.

The Apollo’s, whose current record is 7-1, will take on the San Diego Fleet for their ninth game of the season. Tailgating for the game starts at 4 p.m. in the softball field, located across the street from the stadium.
