Global superstar Jennifer Lopez and Broadway’s golden boy Lin-Manuel Miranda have teamed up to record “Love Make the World Go Round,” a song honoring the Pulse shooting survivors.
Miranda posted a short video on Twitter July 4 teasing the collaboration saying, “[Jennifer Lopez] and yours truly went in on a tune… here’s a taste.”

The proceeds from the song, which was released on iTunes at midnight (late Thursday or early Friday … so NOW), will go toward funding Proyecto Somos Orlando, a bilingual campaign to provide culturally-competent long-term comprehensive services in Central Florida.
Proyecto Somos Orlando is being organized with local community leaders in partnership with the Hispanic Federation.
Lopez recently contributed vocals to the single “Hands,” a star-studded track featuring Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige, Pink, Jason Derulo and more which also benefits victims of the Pulse shooting.
Miranda, who also wrote the song, spoke about Pulse in his acceptance speech at the Tony Awards the same day the shooting took place.
“We live through times when hate and fear seem stronger, we rise and fall and light from dying embers. Remembrances that hope and love lasts long and love is love is love is love is love is love is love is love is love cannot be killed or swept aside,” he said.
