Rocky Horror Picture Show Experience: Live at GayDayS

The energy was palpable in the Great Lakes Ballroom at the DoubleTree Resort on June 4 as the crowd waited impatiently for the Rocky Horror Show Live to begin.

The show kicked off with all the “virgins,” or first-time attendees, having bright red “Vs” painted on their faces and ended with an audience covered in water, rice, toast and plenty of other substances.

The troupe The Rich Weirdos hosted the performance and used the entirety of the ballroom for various antics and audience interaction. The show was also rife with pop-culture references, lip-syncing and both men and women in drag. The Rocky Horror Show contains everything to make it a Gay Days mainstay – so if you’re a virgin, treat the sweet transvestite in you and see it next time around.
