10 LGBT+ YouTubers you should check out

In the last few years, the LGBT+ community on YouTube has really flourished. YouTube has become a place for members of the LGBT+ community to seek advice, find like-minded people, make friends, and connect with others who may share a similar story or background.

We compiled a list of some of our favorite LGBT+ YouTubers who are definitely worth checking out.

Tyler Oakley

Probably one of the most well-known LGBT+ YouTubers around, Tyler came to mind when compiling this list because he’s on practically every social media platform you could think of. Ever since his first video in 2007, he’s amassed over seven million subscribers and definitely is nowhere near done.

Kaelyn and Lucy

Kaelyn and Lucy (sometimes known as Luclyn) are a trans-atlantic couple from the US and the UK respectively who have been together five years, four of which were long distance. They closed the distance in August 2014 and are now happily residing in Arizona with their three kitties and continue to vlog and document their life together in order to show the progress of their relationship and normalize being gay.

Todrick Hall

Todrick Hall is best known for all the different song and dance videos and parodies that he’s posted on YouTube. He’s especially known for Disney parodies, like Beauty and the Beat, Cinderfella, Disney Dudez, Freaks Like Me, etc. While he does a lot of Disney parodies and videos, he also excels at anything pop-culture related, and if he looks familiar, it might be because he was on season nine of American Idol!

Whitney and Megan

Whitney and Megan are another trans-atlantic couple from the US and the UK respectively, who did four years of long distance before finally beginning their life together in the UK in 2012. Since then, they got their civil partnership in September 2012 and are planning their big wedding AKA their “wegging” in the next few years. They like to talk about what it’s like to be a femme (or lipstick) couple and advocate for lipstick lesbian visibility.

V-Squared

V-Squared, AKA Vinny and Luke, are a recently married couple from the US and the UK who are beginning their life together in the UK. They did long distance for seven years before happily settling down in the UK, and they just radiate happiness when watching their videos. They are adorably in love and just so cute!

Hannah Hart

If you’ve never seen My Drunk Kitchen, you’re totally missing out. Hannah Hart is one of the funniest TV personalities out there, and even though she debated coming out because she wanted people to know her for more than just being gay, she’s definitely made a name for herself as more than just an LGBT vlogger, and you definitely need to check out her channel.

Ingrid Nilsen

Known for years as a beauty guru and makeup expert, Ingrid Nilsen surprised fans and subscribers when she posted a video about coming out as gay just last month. Since then, she has received so much support and appreciation from the LGBT+ community and is inspiring so many of her young viewers to be true to themselves and to accept themselves for who they are.

Rose and Rosie

Rose and Rosie are an adorable and hilarious couple from the UK who got married this past April. It’s hard to think of how to describe their channel because it’s a lot of different kinds of videos but they’re pretty much all hilarious and watching any of them will have you on the floor laughing.

Jazz Jennings

If you haven’t heard of Jazz Jennings yet, you may just be living under a rock. She’s a teenage transgender girl who has chosen to share the incredibly personal story of her life and transition when she was just six years old to increase awareness and transgender visibility. She’s only 14 yet is incredibly smart and passionate and is extremely earnest in her desire to help other transgender people come to terms with their gender identity.

Gigi Gorgeous

Gigi Gorgeous is a beauty and makeup guru who came out as transgender in 2013. She’s funny, sassy, and as adorable as they come, and her channel is full of great videos about makeup and her glamorous life, as well as having shared the process of her transitioning to female after first coming out as transgender.
