Rick Santorum plans speech at anti-gay march

Former presidential candidate Rick Santorum is set to speak at the March for Marriage, an event which supports traditional marriage being defined by a man and woman.

The president of the National Organization for Marriage, Brian S. Brown, released an announcement on their website telling supporters about the “thrilling” news.

“I’m thrilled to announce that my good friend and stalwart marriage, family, and life champion, presidential candidate and former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum will be speaking at this year’s March for Marriage,” Brown wrote.

“From his days in the Senate, through his Presidential campaigns, Senator Santorum has never hesitated to stand for marriage and make the argument that the social values of our nation are of primary importance to the well-being of our families and children.”

The event is set to be held in Washington D.C on June 19.

Other scheduled speakers at the event include Gov. Mike Huckabee, Sen. Rubin Diaz and Archbishop Salcatore Cordielone.
