Parliament House was packed from wall-to-wall with people as it kicked off their Gay Days Weekend Party June 6. The highlight of the night was the concert put on by artist Mya.
With plenty of different rooms to dance in, and with DJs playing great jams all night, people packed the dance floor. Out by the main resort area near the pool, people stood to watch the drag performances beforehand by various local performers.
At 1 a.m. the pool area became packed as Mya took the stage and sang many of her current hits and even some classics like “My Love Is Like… Wo,” “Case of the Ex” and “Lady Marmalade” from the hit movie Moulin Rouge. She vogued; she danced her butt off with the help of her backup dancers; and she even twerked for the audience on stage. And all the while everyone was dancing and singing along with her.
After the concert, the night carried on with music from the DJs. There were tents set up for vendors, outside bars and also food to purchase.
Even as vendors started breaking down, outside bars started closing up and event staff started getting ready to call it a night, people still were there ready to party till the sun would come up.
