There’s no doubt about it – A Taste of GayDayS is a really good deal.
For a mere thirty bucks, attendees get four hours of food, drink and entertainment.
Circus performers dangled from the ceiling among the ballroom chandeliers while diners enjoyed small plates of tuna tartare, macaroni and cheese, salmon, buffalo bites, crudites and more. Many vendors offered a carnival aspect as well as food – spin a wheel or make a golf put, and you win a prize. There were nearly as many cocktail options as food options and even though most of the sample cups were small, partiers determined to get a buzz had plenty of time to do so in four hours.
The only drawback was a lack of surface area – maybe 10 small cocktail table tops for more than 100 people means nowhere to place your plate while you eat.
And the word about A Taste of GayDayS being a good deal is out – the place was packed. We predict they’ll find a larger venue or up the price for 2015.
