Halloween provides the perfect opportunity for the LGBTQ community to don its best in gay apparel—be it simple, spooky or scandalous. It’s a night of experimentation, creativity and couture, where society at large isn’t quite so worried about gender “norms” or roles. To make things even greater, there’s also candy. A lot of it.

For those in a relationship, nothing says “we’re together” or gets more social media buzz quite like a couples costume for Halloween. Even so, the majority of costume outlets still aren’t likely to cater to those in same-sex relationships.

Ruby Rose cast as lesbian superhero Batwoman

“Orange is the New Black” star Ruby Rose will play the lesbian superhero Batwoman in the upcoming Arrowverse crossover event on The CW network this fall.

Rose — who identifies as gender fluid — will make her debut as the DC Comics heroine guest starring on the series “Arrow,” “The Flash” and “Supergirl” in December. The CW is also working on developing a standalone series for the character, written by “The Vampire Diaries” Caroline Dries and executive produced by Dries, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns.

Lynda Carter gets star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Lynda Carter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one of the biggest honors in Tinseltown, last Tuesday.

Carter immortalized the iconic superheroine Wonder Woman in the TV series from 1975-1979. The 66-year-old thanked her fans for the monumental moment in an Instagram post.

Men.com released a safe for work trailer for “Justice League: A Gay XXX Parody” which features “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alum Manila Luzon as Wonder Woman, Colby Keller as Green Lantern, Brandon Cody as Superman, Ryan Bones as Batman, Manuel Skye as Alfred, Francois Sagat as Aquaman and Johnny Rapid as The Flash.

McKinnon and Aidy Bryant are two lesbians on a mission to Themyscira to mingle with some lesbian Amazons. Gal Gadot portrays Princess Diana, who lets McKinnon and Bryant know that the ladies of Themyscira aren’t sexually attracted to each other.

Shonda Rhimes to remake ‘Queer as Folk’ creator’s gay dramedies

T.V. showrunner Shonda Rimes and “Wonder Woman” screenwriter Allan Heinberg are joining forces to remake Russell T. Davies’ gay dramedies, “Cucumber” and “Banana.”

According to Deadline, Heinberg has signed a deal with Rimes’ ShondaLand production company for the series titled, “Adult Behavior” for ABC. The show will be based on the the T.V. show “Banana,” it’s companion web series, “Cucumber” and the online documentary, “Tofu.” Davies is best known as the show creator for the U.K. version of “Queer as Folk” and for the sci-fi revival of “Doctor Who.”

‘Wonder Woman’ comics writer reveals character is gay

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The writer of the reborn Wonder Woman comics has revealed that the character is gay.

Greg Rucka tells Comicosity that since Wonder Woman comes from the fictional all-female island nation of Themyscira, she “has been in love and had relationships with other women.”
