Aussie actress Ruby Rose suits up as ‘Batwoman’ in new CW series

As the Gotham City crime fighter Kate Kane in “Batwomam,” Ruby Rose’s character is one for the history books, as the first lesbian superhero in a leading television role. It’s been a fast-moving ride to the top for the young Australian actress/model, who caught everyone’s eye back in 2014 when she created “Break Free,” a short film on gender fluidity.

The YouTube video has been viewed more than 51 million times. Rose had no idea the impact it would make on her career.

Jill Soloway replaces Bryan Singer as director on ‘Red Sonja’ film

“Transparent” creator Jill Soloway is replacing Bryan Singer as the director and writer of the film “Red Sonja,” based on the 1973 Marvel comic.

The replacement announcement follows numerous rape and sexual assault allegations from underage boys against Singer as detailed in a lengthy report from the Atlantic in March.

‘Transparent’ will kill off Jeffrey Tambor’s character in series finale episode

“Transparent” creator Jill Soloway has confirmed that Jeffrey Tambor’s character Maura Pfefferman will be killed off on the series’ final episode.

The decision comes after Tambor was fired from the Amazon series amid multiple sexual misconduct allegations on set. Maura was the show’s central character. The show chronicled her journey coming out as a transgender woman to her children and wife.

Jeffrey Tambor opens up about ‘Transparent’ sexual harassment allegations

Jeffrey Tambor has addressed the sexual harassment allegations against him for the first time since his firing from Amazon’s “Transparent.”

Van Barnes, a transgender actress and Tambor’s former assistant, accused Tambor of sexual misconduct in November. Transgender actress Trace Lysette, who appeared on “Transparent,” also accused Tambor of making “many sexual advances and comments” on set.

Trace Lysette is one of two women who came forward last year and accused Tambor of sexual harassment. Tambor has denied the allegations.

Transgender actress Candis Cayne has been cast for a multi-episode arc on “Grey’s Anatomy.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Cayne, who has appeared in “Transparent” and “Dirty Sexy Money,” will play a transgender patient at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital who will undergo “groundbreaking” vaginoplasty surgery.

Jeffrey Tambor has announced his departure from “Transparent” as Amazon investigates sexual harassment allegations against the actor.

Van Barnes and Trace Lysette, both transgender actresses, have come forward with sexual misconduct allegations. While details on Barnes’ claims have not been made public, Lysette opened up about her allegations with Tambor on social media. She accuses Tambor of making sexual comments about her and for touching her inappropriately.
