The Orlando Ribbon Project releases new enamel pin

Famous figures including Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and HRC’s Chad Griffin have worn the now famous rainbow-colored ribbon, now the Dissent Pin Company has partnered with the Orlando Ribbon Project to create enamel versions of the ribbons that traveled the world in memory of the 49 lives lost at Pulse Orlando.

“Its been rather amazing watching the project grow from just a handful of fabric ribbons for volunteers to a worldwide symbol of love and hope,” says founder of the Orlando Ribbon Project, Ben Johansen.

The Center announces its 2019 Board of Directors

ORLANDO | The LGBT+ Center Orlando announced its 2019 Board of Directors via Facebook on March 12.

Roxy Santiago, who has been a member of The Center’s Board of Directors for two years, was named board president. Santiago is also a member of the Human Rights Campaign in Orlando.

The LGBT+ Center Orlando to open second location in Kissimmee

ORLANDO | The LGBT+ Center Orlando, Inc.’s board of directors announced April 6 that they will be expanding into Osceola County with an LGBT+ Center in Kissimmee.

The new expansion is a result of a donation from the Contigo Fund, an initiative of Our Fund Foundation that emerged from the Pulse massacre. Program Director Marco Antonio Quiroga said, in a press release, that the Contigo Fund recognizes the road to recovery for the survivors continues, and will continue for years to come.
