The speculation swirling around “Sesame Street” characters Bert and Ernie have caused debate on whether the puppets are simply roommates or have a romantic relationship.

In September, “Sesame Street” writer Mark Saltzman, who is openly gay, said he based Bert and Ernie’s relationship on his own romantic relationship with another man.

George Takei among latest celebs to be accused of sexual misconduct

NEW YORK (AP) – George Takei took to Twitter Nov. 11 to deny groping a male model and Richard Dreyfuss said he never exposed himself to a female writer helping him with a TV script, both back in the 1980s.

Takei, the 80-year-old “Star Trek” icon, said in a series of tweets that events described by Scott R. Brunton in The Hollywood Reporter “simply did not occur,” and he does not remember ever knowing Brunton.

CBS cancels ‘Doubt’ starring Laverne Cox after two episodes

CBS has canceled its new law drama “Doubt,” starring Katherine Heigl and Laverne Cox, after just two episodes, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

After pulling in low viewership for its first two episodes and receiving poor reviews, “Doubt” has become the first show of the season to get canceled. “Doubt” followed attorneys at a New York City law firm including Heigl who played a lawyer falling for her client and Cox who portrayed a transgender lawyer.
