Winter Haven (AP) – Viktoria Gerth-Stephenson’s spouse has been involved through every step of her pregnancy.

Her spouse accompanies Gerth-Stephenson to all her doctor’s appointments. Her spouse regularly kisses Gerth-Stephenson’s belly and talks to the fetus inside. And the spouses were side by side for a recent baby shower.

Florida Senate set to vote on gay adoption ban amendment

Tallahasse, Fla. – House Bill 7013, titled “Adoption and Foster Care” bill, will go before the Florida Senate April 8. If the bill passes, it will finally remove the language of the state’s unconstitutional, obsolete ban on gay adoption.

Florida’s House of Representatives voted 68-50 to approve the bill March 11.

Wyoming judge will revisit same-sex marriage lawsuit

CHEYENNE, Wyoming (AP) — A Wyoming judge has passed up an opportunity to immediately strike down a state law that specifies marriage is limited to one man and one woman.

But Laramie County District Court Judge Thomas Campbell also decided at a hearing July 29 not to suspend a lawsuit filed by four gay couples and a gay-rights advocacy group.

Colorado judge strikes down gay marriage ban but puts ruling on hold

DENVER (AP) – A judge in Colorado has struck down the state’s gay marriage ban.

District Court Judge C. Scott Crabtree on July 9 ruled the 2006 voter-approved ban violates the state and federal constitutions. He immediately put his ruling on hold pending an appeal.
