Florida LGBTQ+ Democratic Caucus ‘comes out’ with new name

The Florida LGBTQ+ Democratic Caucus, formerly the LGBTA Democratic Caucus, unveiled their new name on Oct. 11 for National Coming Out Day.

The caucus has 19 statewide chapters throughout Florida. It represents members of the LGBTQ community to the Florida Democratic Party, which it’s currently doing at the party’s 2019 State Convention in Orlando Oct. 11-13.

Delray Beach, Fla. | The Florida LGBTA Democratic Caucus renewed its calls to begin impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump Sept. 24.

The caucus represents the LGBTQ community to Florida’s Democratic Party. It has nearly 20 statewide chapters, including Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Polk, Pinellas and Sarasota counties.

TAMPA | LGBTQ community activists, allies, elected officials and more will gather in Tampa July 19-21 for “Defining and Defending our LGBTQ Future,” the Florida LGBTA Democratic Caucus’ summer conference.

The caucus represents the LGBTQ community to Florida’s Democratic Party. The organization has nearly 20 statewide chapters—including Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Polk, Pinellas and Sarasota counties—all of which will be represented at the conference. Leaders advise the organization’s strength lies in its size and their local chapters, whose individual members stand up for equality statewide.
