Last month, my husband and I were heading home from his birthday dinner with a dear friend when Avril Lavigne came on the radio. This was shocking for a number of reasons.

First, because my radio was on. I tend to default to my Spotify playlist “Pimpin’ Ry Style,” an ever-expanding and eclectic collection of my favorite hits now in its second volume. Volume one, may it R.I.P., was lost when my then-boyfriend and now-husband—who still groans whenever he sees the playlist’s name—deleted it after we briefly broke up.

Twitter permanently bans anti-LGBTQ conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, Infowars

NEW YORK (AP) | Twitter permanently banned right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and his Infowars show for abusive behavior, a day after CEO Jack Dorsey testified before Congress about alleged bias against conservatives on the platform.

The company said Jones won’t be able to create new accounts on Twitter or take over any existing ones. In a tweet, it said it would continue to monitor reports about other accounts potentially associated with Jones or Infowars, and will “take action” if it finds any attempts to circumvent the ban.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” contestant Monét X Change called out Azealia Banks on Twitter after Banks went on a Twitter tirade against “white gays” and the rest of the LGBT community.

Banks, 27, accused RuPaul of plagiarizing her song “The Big Big Beat” for his single “Call Me Mother” from his 2016 album “American.”

Azealia Banks has claimed Spotify removed RuPaul’s album “American” from its streaming service due to Banks alleging that RuPaul plagiarized her song “The Big Big Beat” on his song “Call Me Mother.”

“Lol I got rupauls ripoff of the big big beat .. ‘call me mother’ removed. You will not step on my little black girl toes bitch. You will take your razor bumps and pumps to the nearest laser hair removal clinic and seethe. @RuPaul BYE UGLY!” Banks tweeted.

Sam Smith teases new music after two-year hiatus
