Jennifer Aniston to play lesbian U.S. president in Netflix political comedy

Jennifer Aniston has been cast as the United States’ first female and lesbian president in a Netflix political comedy, “First Ladies.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Aniston will star opposite Tig Notaro who will play her wife and first lady.

Reese Witherspoon to produce Martina Navratilova documentary

Reese Witherspoon’s media company Hello Sunshine is set to produce a documentary about Martina Navratilova. Journalists Glenn Greenwald and Suzanne Gilbert are also on board to assist in the making of the film.

Variety reports the film will document Navratilova’s life told through the eyes of Greenwald, who considers Navratilova a childhood hero, coming of age during the Ronald Reagan era in Florida.

Adam Rippon is off the market, meets new man on Tinder

Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon is having quite the year, and it’s only April.

He won a bronze medal at the Winter Olympics earlier this year becoming the first openly gay U.S. male athlete to do so. Rippon also became a headline maker, first calling out Vice President Mike Pence for his anti-LGBTQ views, then doing a media tour as the self-proclaimed new “America’s Sweetheart,” and making huge fans out of everyone from E! News host Justin Sylvester to Sally Field’s son to to another American Sweetheart, Reese Witherspoon. He even got social media buzzing when he appeared on the red carpet of the Academy Awards in a leather harness/tux combo.

Reese Witherspoon to produce film about Westboro Baptist Church

Reese Witherspoon will be producing “This Above All,” a film based on the life of Megan Phelps-Roper, the granddaughter of Westboro Baptist Church founder Fred Phelps.

Phelps-Roper left the church in 2012 with her sister Grace and was excommunicated from her family. Since then, she has penned an upcoming book about her experiences in the church.

Britney Spears visits Disney Springs’ new Planet Hollywood Observatory

ORLANDO – International superstar Britney Spears paid a visit to Disney’s newly opened Planet Hollywood Observatory at Disney Springs in Orlando March 13 for a meet and greet with fans.

The pop princess was greeted by hundreds of admirers and spectators who waited to take pictures and get autographs before Spears and her family, including actress and sister Jamie Lynn Spears, “dined with the stars” in the restaurant.

Hot Pursuit is not hot, nor should it be pursued. Someone should be arrested for making this crud. This is a common 1980s buddy comedy that would’ve died a painful death back then. Nowadays, it’s DOA. That’s because Hot Pursuit just isn’t funny. At all. Instead, it’s sexist, shallow, and totally unsurprising.

In the first scene of Wild – halfway through her 1100-mile hike – Cheryl Strayed pauses to peel off her hiking boots and pull her detached toenail from her big purple toe. Then, one of her boots slides down a cliff. In frustration, she throws the other shoe after it while releasing a primal scream.

Don’t let that make you think everything is hopeless. Strayed is portrayed by Reese Witherspoon, the plucky heroine of Election, the Legally Blonde films, and Walk the Line. So, we already know with rock-solid certainty that she will be fine.
