ATLANTA (AP) – Oscar-nominated director Lee Daniels says he’s consumed by fear each time he films a new scene.

Even after Daniels found meteoric success through films such as “Monster’s Ball,” ”Precious” and “The Butler,” along with his popular TV series “Empire,” he still worries that his work won’t live up to people’s lofty expectations.

The Dixie Chicks are touring the U.S. for the first time in a decade, and they will be jamming out in Tampa at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the Florida State Fairgrounds August 19.

Just like *NSYNC, The Backstreet Boys, Blink 182 and The Spice Girls, the Dixie Chicks were a music group in the late ‘90s/early ‘00s that added a fun, youthful voice to their respective genres, but the Chicks did something that no other group at the time did and that very few musical acts are able to do: They appealed to everyone: men and women, young and old. They reached out to fans of country, rock, pop and everything in-between, and yes, they appealed to the LGBT crowd.

These people are in the public eye, the argument goes, and therefore should expect to lose some of those rights to privacy. Especially if he or she is extremely anti- or pro-gay in their actions.

First, it was Rep. Aaron Schock (R-Ill.) who is a fitness model when he isn’t pushing anti-gay legislation in Illinois.
A blogger/journalist insisted the representative was a hypocrite because-he said-Schock is gay. His evidence: the man is handsome, muscular and athletic, photogenic and apparently follows an out Olympic Diver on Instagram.

AT&T says a fiber cut caused Grammys blackout

Orlando – As history was about to unfold on the live telecast of the Grammy Awards Jan. 26, some viewers in Orlando were stripped of the opportunity to see a live wedding ceremony featuring 34 gay and straight couples. Users of AT&T U-Verse HD lost the television signal just as couples were entering the Staples Center.

AT&T says it wasn’t a fear of advancing LGBT equality or any other form of bigotry that caused the outage. It was, a spokesperson said, a technical glitch.
