Dylan Todd has been Watermark’s Creative Assistant and Photographer for nearly three-quarters of a year, but his quest to join Watermark’s staff began well before that.

In 2015, Dylan was impressed with the quality and community nature of Watermark and wanted to be a part of that mission. He logged onto WatermarkOnline.com and emailed the domain asking how his photography services could be used in the newspaper. He then posted the same inquiry on Facebook. At the time, a position was not open.

Jennifer Webb becomes first openly LGBTQ woman elected to Florida Legislature

ST. PETERSBURG | Democrat Rep.-Elect Jennifer Webb defeated Republican Ray Blacklidge in the race to represent Florida House District 69 (HD69) Nov. 6, becoming the first openly LGBTQ woman elected to the Florida Legislature in the process.

Webb replaces Republican Kathleen Peters in representing HD69. The district includes Gulfport, Kenneth City, Madeira Beach, Pinellas Park, South Pasadena, St. Pete Beach, parts of St. Petersburg and Treasure Island.

Church unanimously selects lesbian pastor

Newly appointed: Rev. Jennifer Marie Daysa began her new role as pastor on June 1.

Pinellas Park – The members of Good Samaritan Church of Pinellas Park unanimously voted to put Rev. Jennifer Marie Daysa behind the pulpit. She began her ministry on June 1.

The pastor, who has two children with her wife, Julie Daysa, was previously the director of youth and family ministries at the Congregational Church of Exeter in New Hampshire.
