Peter Boykin, founder and president of the North Carolina-based group Gays for Trump, lost his race for a seat in the North Carolina House of Representatives on Nov. 6 in a district that includes the city of Greensboro.

According to the Greensboro News & Record, incumbent Democrat Amos Quick beat Boykin, who ran as a Republican, by a margin of 21,134 votes to 6,395 votes or about 76 percent to 23 percent.

Gay-organized Trump rally draws just 18 attendees

A total of just 18 people turned out on Saturday, June 1, for a Make America Great Again Free Speech Rally on the Ellipse section of the National Mall near the White House that was organized by Gays for Trump President Peter Boykin.

Boykin and several others who spoke at the rally said they were certain that each of those attending the event represents thousands of others, both gay and straight, who are conservative, loyal Americans that deeply believe Donald Trump will provide the leadership needed to get the nation back on track.

Gays for Trump leader organizing ‘Free Speech’ Rally on Mall

The president of the North Carolina-based group Gays for Trump is a lead organizer of a July 1 MAGA [Make America Great Again] Free Speech Rally on the National Mall near the White House.

Peter Boykin, who founded Gays for Trump during the 2016 presidential election campaign, said the July 1 rally on the Mall would be a non-partisan celebration of the Make America Great Again theme, which he said would help make the country a better place to live for “everyone, gay, straight, black, white – everyone.”
