Grammy® Award-winning musicians Chris Botti and Joshua Bell create a virtuoso night that crosses musical boundaries to include classical, rhythm & blues and jazz. After his sold-out concert at the Dr. Phillips Center last year, Chris Botti returns, bringing with him one of the greatest violinists in the world, Joshua Bell. Together, alongside a full orchestra, their one-night only concert is sure to be a standout event of the season.

Since the release of his 2004 critically acclaimed CD When I Fall In Love, Chris Botti has become the largest-selling American instrumental artist. His success crosses over to audiences usually reserved for pop music and his ongoing association with PBS led to four #1 jazz albums, as well as multiple Gold, Platinum and Grammy Awards. Most recently, his latest album, Impressions, won the Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Album at the 2013 55th Grammy Awards. Performing worldwide and selling more than four million albums, he found a form of creative expression that begins in jazz and expands beyond the limits of any single genre.

Joining Botti is lauded violinist Joshua Bell, often referred to as “the poet of the violin” and considered “the greatest American violinist active today” (The Boston Herald). Recording numerous movie soundtracks, including the Oscar®-winning score for The Red Violin, and more than 40 albums since his first recording at age 18, Bell’s 2014 Bach album (recorded with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields) debuted at #1 on the Billboard Classical Chart. Having collaborated with A-listers including Wynton Marsalis, Josh Groban, and Placido Domingo, he has performed on every continent except Antartica and has all the prestigious accolades of a superstar classical musician.

Senate leader Phil Berger filed the bill in response to a local magistrate quitting his job rather than presiding after federal judges struck down North Carolina’s same-sex marriage ban in October.
