Queens of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ are all about the GP Yass! in ‘SNL’ skit

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” queens Peppermint and Jiggly Caliente made a surprise appearance on “Saturday Night Live” Nov. 17 in a filmed skit advertising the new “GP Yass!” navigation system.

The video starts out with “SNL” cast member Heidi Gardner and guest host Steve Carell getting their trip mapped out on their vehicle’s ordinary GPS. After Carell comments on the GPS’s monotone voice,  Gardner offers to switch modes to the Drag Entertainer setting.

RuPaul apologizes for controversial transgender drag queen comments

RuPaul has apologized for controversial statements he made regarding the place of transgender individuals in the drag community.

Ru stated he would “probably not” allow a transitioning transgender person compete on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and explained Peppermint was an exception because she had not fully transitioned.

Peppermint and Cazwell release transgender anthem ‘Blend’

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” alum Peppermint and out rapper Cazwell have teamed up for their transgender anthem “Blend.”

Peppermint, who was the first openly transgender contestant on “RuPaul’s Drag Race,’ told Billboard that she and Cazwell have been performing together since 2000. Now, they have joined forces for their first full project together “Blend,” their joint EP which will be released on March 9.

Peppermint makes history as first trans woman to create a principal role on Broadway

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” season nine alum Peppermint has been cast in the new musical “Head Over Heels,” making her the first openly transgender woman to originate a principal role on Broadway.

“Head Over Heels” is based on the Elizabethan comedy “The Arcadia,” and will feature music from the all-female band The Go-Go’s known for their hits “We Got the Beat,” “Our Lips Are Sealed” and “Vacation.”

Cazwell heads to Parliament House Orlando for Labor Day Weekend

Cazwell took YouTube by storm with the music video for his provocative brain candy, “Ice Cream Truck.” Currently the video has more than 5 million views, so this out “white dude” rapper has found quite a fan base, along with a bit of critical acclaim and commercial success. It’s no wonder with his unique sense of style, edgy lyrics and relevant social commentary on current issues that his fans are drooling for more.

Fans and newcomers alike will be able to experience Cazwell’s sexiness in person this Labor Day weekend as he takes over Parliament House for a live performance at the club’s New York Street Party. Watermark had the chance to catch up with him before the show to chat about his newest single, upcoming projects and what his fans can expect in Orlando.
