A prominent LGBTQ activist in Haiti was found dead on Monday.

A member of Kouraj, a Haitian LGBTQ advocacy group, told the Associated Press that Charlot Jeudy’s body was found at his home in Port-au-Prince, the Haitian capital.

Zimbabwe judge issues landmark transgender rights ruling

A judge in Zimbabwe on Nov. 14 issued a landmark ruling in favor of a transgender woman who filed a lawsuit over the abuse she suffered after her arrest for using a women’s restroom.

Police in the Zimbabwean city of Bulawayo in January 2014 arrested Ricky “Rikki” Nathanson after she used a women’s restroom in a hotel.

Dozens charged after Uganda police raid LGBTQ-friendly bar

Authorities in Uganda have charged 67 people with “public nuisance” after police raided an LGBTQ-friendly bar in the country’s capital on Sunday.

Kuchu Times, a website that covers LGBTQ issues in Africa, reported 125 people were arrested when police raided the bar in Kampala. Kuchu Times said most of those who were arrested “are community members.”

Tillerson out as secretary of state

President Trump on Tuesday announced he has ousted Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

Trump in a tweet that announced the decision said he plans to nominate CIA Director Mike Pompeo to succeed Tillerson. Trump also said he will nominate Deputy CIA Director Gina Haspel to succeed Pompeo.
