Sam Smith is facing criticism for saying he doesn’t like Michael Jackson.

The 26-year-old crooner was filmed saying the statement in a video posted by Adam Lambert on Instagram. Smith and Lambert are seen on a yacht while Jackson’s song “Human Nature” is heard playing. Smith says  “I don’t like Michael Jackson, but this is a good song.”

TAMPA | Unbreakable musical icon Janet Jackson and her Tampa Bay fans came together again at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre Aug. 7 for the LGBTQ ally’s “State of the World” tour.

Jackson, as well known for her choreography as she is her vocals, didn’t disappoint the arena on either front. The show featured eight backup dancers and a wide-array of the singer’s staples, with the 52-year-old artist lamenting that she’d written some of the music at 19.

Drag queen to star in Rio samba parade at Brazil Carnival

SAO PAULO (AP) — A drag queen is headlining the parade of one of Rio de Janeiro’s most storied samba schools Monday night as Carnival celebrations across the country continue the tradition of ridiculing cultural icons and pushing social boundaries.

Pabllo Vittar will perform with Beija-Flor de Nilopolis, whose theme is promoting tolerance. Last year’s champions, Portela, are to portray the story of Jews who fled persecution in Europe for Brazil.

ABC News keeps tight lid on Bruce Jenner interview

NEW YORK (AP) – The first on-air promo for the broadcast interview with Bruce Jenner didn’t even show his face, an illustration of the line ABC News is walking in trying to drum up interest for the program while saying virtually nothing about it.

The two-hour interview special with the 1976 Olympic decathlon champion and estranged patriarch of television’s Kardashian clan is expected to touch on transgenderism and reports that he may be transitioning to a woman.

Cirque du Soleil brings the magic of Michael Jackson to Florida

When Fernando Miro turned 20, he took a leap of faith and left his native Puerto Rico to pursue a career in Las Vegas. Now 26-years-old, the out dancer is part of the largest Cirque Du Soleil traveling experience in the organization’s history. He’s on the Michael Jackson Immortal World Tour, which stops in Gainesville May 13 and 14 and the Tampa Bay Times Forum May 20 and 21.

Miro was hired by Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas as part of the resident performance there. He says the Cirque du Soleil organization often hires from within its own ranks for new shows, which is how he came to become part of this tour.
