METRO announces new service program for LGBT elders

St. Petersburg – METRO Health, Wellness and Community announced the launch of SAGE Tampa Bay in a press release Nov. 2.

SAGE, or Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders, is the country’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender older adults, according to their website.

Metro’s new medical director talks PrEP, primary care and trans health

Metro Health, Wellness and Community is expanding its umbrella of services by opening the doors on primary care and LGBT health services in its Tampa and St. Petersburg locations.

Metro Health hired Dr. David W. LyterM.D. as its new medical director in July, because it felt there were services specific to the LGBT community in Tampa and St. Petersburg  that the general medical community was ignoring.

Comic Christine O’Leary brings her beloved stand-up back to St. Pete

Wildly popular lesbian comedian Christine O’Leary just wants to make people laugh. And she’ll surely do just that when she returns to St. Petersburg on March 13 and 14.

“I am codependent enough to have the perfect work ethic for stand-up. I will do whatever it takes till I make you like me!” says O’Leary.
