Beauty YouTuber James Charles has lost three million subscribers in the midst of a feud with beauty guru and former friend Tati Westbrook.

Charles, 19, credits Westbrook, 37, for getting him interested in makeup. Westbrook also served as a mentor to Charles in the industry.

Bold Beauty for the Transgender Community is part of Sephora’s Classes for Confidence, “90-minute, hands-on sessions focus on techniques and products that help you build confidence and celebrate your own unique beauty.” Another Class for Confidence teaches students “techniques and products that address the visible effects of cancer treatments.”

Teen sues DMV after being told to remove makeup

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A 16-year-old in South Carolina sued the state’s Department of Motor Vehicles on Sept. 2 because the agency won’t allow him to take a driver’s license photo wearing makeup.

Chase Culpepper regularly wears makeup and either androgynous or women’s clothing. During a news conference Sept. 2 at the Statehouse in Columbia, he told reporters that being ordered by officials to remove what they called a disguise was degrading.

DMV forces South Carolina teen to remove his makeup for driver’s license

Chase Culpepper, a 16-year-old non-gender teen who prefers male pronouns and wears girl’s clothing and makeup, said the DMV in Anderson, S.C. forced him to take off his makeup when he was there to get his driver’s license.

According to the Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund as reported by the Daily News , “workers accused him of not looking the way ‘a boy should’ and refused to take his picture while he was wearing makeup.”
