Finding love isn’t easy. Websites, phone apps and bars provide plenty of opportunities to find “the one.” But sometimes there seems to be too many fish in the sea. And too often, the ones we do catch we end up throwing back.

But that’s not always the case. Long-term couples exist in the LGBT world and now, with 70% of America’s population living in marriage equality states, couples are able to seal their love with the government’s blessing.

Not only did we lose the all-important races for governor and attorney general on a statewide basis, butlocally we lost LGBT family member Joe Saunders and staunch allies Linda Stewart, Karen Castor Dentel and Mike Clelland in the state legislature.

Group launches long-term global AIDS trial

An international group devoted to pediatric AIDS treatment is taking on a long-term global trial in hopes of replicating the success a University of Mississippi Medical Center researcher achieved in curing a baby born to an HIV-positive woman.

And although Dr. Hannah Gay, Mississippi’s leading pediatric AIDS specialist, won’t be directly involved, “I will be following it with great interest,” she said. “I’m certainly really excited about what’s going on.”
