The landscape has served as a point of creative inspiration for centuries—even amongst urban sprawl, beauty may be gleaned from the city. In this workshop, we will begin by discussing gestural sketching activities for capturing the energy of an urban landscape, then move into Loch Haven Park to spend the evening drawing. No artistic skill is necessary, all you need is a positive attitude and to dress comfortably for an evening of urban exploration.

5 p.m. of Fame
Local Orlando resident Nicholas Clayton is finding social media fame as his tale of getting stuck in a Clearwater gym has gone internet viral.

As he was unwinding at the sauna while listening to music on his headphones, Nicholas came out shortly after 5 p.m. to an empty gym, lights off, doors locked and not one L.A. According to his Facebook page, Nicholas called his mother who laughed off the situation and was able to get assistance from another L.A. Fitness, one that happened to stay open past 5 p.m., which simply told him to exit and that he would be OK. Despite the inconvenience, Nicholas told a Tampa Bay ABC news team his biggest concern was he hasn’t heard from L.A. Fitness, and he was surprised employees didn’t check in to see if there was anyone else remaining in the gym.
