Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first openly gay character will appear in “The Eternals.”

“He’s married. He’s got a family. And that is just part of who he is,” Feige spilled about the character to “Good Morning America” at the D23 Expo in California.

Report: Marvel casting for a transgender superhero

Marvel Studios is reportedly casting for a transgender role in one of its upcoming film projects.

Geeks WorldWide reports that Marvel has sent out a casting call for a character named Jessica. The call is looking for any “transwoman actress of any ethnicity in her 20s to 30s.”

Valkyrie named Marvel’s first LGBTQ superhero

Marvel has confirmed that Valkyrie, portrayed by Tessa Thompson, will be the first LGBTQ superhero in its cinematic universe.

Thompson, who is bisexual, first teased the news during Marvel’s announcement of the film “Thor: Love and Thunder” at Comic-Con in San Diego on Saturday.

LOS ANGELES (AP) | The first openly transgender actor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe says there needs to be more representation of his experience.

Zach Barack plays a classmate of Peter Parker’s in “Spider-Man: Far From Home.” His gender identity is not addressed in the brief role.

Holland, 23, currently portrays Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In an interview with the Sunday Times, Holland was asked if he would be okay with his character coming out as gay.

President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige is defending Marvel’s first openly gay character who appeared briefly in “Avengers: Endgame.”

In a scene in the film, an unnamed man played by co-director Joe Russo, is seen at a support group for people who have lost their loves one to Thanos at the end of “Avengers: Infinity War.” The man describes going on a first date with another man but they both end up crying over their lost loved ones before they get their food.
