Sia revealed she turned down a photo request from Donald Trump because of her “queer and Mexican fans.”

Speaking to Rolling Stone, the Australian singer recounted the time she was the musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” in November 2015. She says Trump, who was just a presidential candidate at the time, and his daughter Ivanka approached her with a camera and asked for a photo. She decided to decline because of her fanbase.

June passes with no Pride Month recognition from White House

Pride Month came and went, and Donald Trump stayed silent for his second June in office.

While this did not come as a surprise to many LGBTQ leaders, it adds to the frustration the community has felt toward a President who has failed to acknowledge LGBTQ people since taking office even after making promises to stand for the community during his campaign.

Gus Kenworthy shades Ivanka Trump in closing ceremony tweet

Olympian Gus Kenworthy wasn’t happy that Ivanka Trump was in attendance with Team USA at the closing ceremony for the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

Kenworthy, who came in 12th place for the men’s freestyle skiing event, shared his opinion in a tweet that praised Team USA but questioned Trump’s presence.

Although her father has stayed mute on the occasion, Ivanka Trump has become the sole official in the Trump administration and member of the Trump family to recognize June as Pride month.

Attributing a few days of silence on Twitter to recognition of a Jewish holiday, Ivanka Trump made the comments recognizing Pride Thursday on the first day of June on Thursday using the hashtag #Pride2017.

With the 100-day mark of President Trump’s time in the White House fast approaching, LGBTQ rights supporters are giving him failing grades as the nation evaluates him at the benchmark.

Since he took the oath of office on Jan. 20, the White House has asserted Trump is “respectful and supportive of LGBTQ rights,” but at the same time he has taken anti-LGBTQ actions — such as undoing guidance protecting transgender students — and filled his administration with opponents of LGBTQ rights.
