Back by popular demand! The Modernism Museum is pleased to welcome back acclaimed electric violin virtuoso Jared Violin. The concert will take place in the Modernism Museum gallery on Saturday, June 1st at 7:00pm. A sparkling and white wine reception is included with your admission, which begins at 6:30pm.

Jared began playing violin at age 3 and his devotion to the instrument developed through both classical training and his mother’s love for music. Influenced by the likes of The Charlie Daniel’s Band, Jean Luc Ponty and more mainstream artists such as Boyd Tinsley of the Dave Matthews Band, Jared’s musical style has evolved from classical to include bluegrass and jazz, contemporary and modern rock sounds.

Jared began performing with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at age 17, at 26 became acclaimed on Broadway for his 6’5” muscular physique, with mesmerizing talent to match. His fine-tuned skill allows him to enamor audiences while performing at New York City’s Carnegie Hall, famed House of Blues and Hard Rock Live venues, amphitheaters, arenas, and restored vaudeville theaters around the nation. Jared has made appearances on Live! With Regis and Kelly, MTV, NBC, CBS and Fox News. Regularly appearing in night clubs with live DJs and at thousands of corporate conventions around the world, Jared enjoys being a full-time touring musician.

Tickets are $20 for 3MD members and $30 for nonmembers and includes a wine reception which precedes the performance. Tickets can be purchased at the museum or online by visiting https://ezticketapp.com/?s=ez4683.

Everybody’s favorite swooning crooner Bryan Ferry, he of the lilting tenor that made “Avalon” your go-to couch-date song if you are of a certain age, is coming to Orlando on Sunday, March 12.

What’s that you say? Roxy Music’s foppish wizard is going to bring “Virginia Plain” to the Hard Rock Live in Orlando in just a few short weeks? Yes. Yes, he is. To get you excited for the beauty of staring off into the distance and humming the tune of “Don’t Stop the Dance,” Hard Rock Live is offering two general admission tickets and a free dinner (which you don’t even have to use on the night of March 12, because you can’t eat and be a gorgeous model who sways a lot, too).

Lisa Lampanelli is the Salt & Vinegar potato chip of stand-up comics. That first bite is oh-so-acidic while the follow-up stings in an aggressive attack on the senses. It’s both salty and sour, and – somewhat shamefully – completely addictive.

Of course, comparing the comedian who recently lost over 100 pounds to a greasy, unhealthy snack food might seem a bit insensitive…but we’re pretty sure she’d approve. Famous for her sharp-tongued attacks from the dais on a multitude of celebrity roasts – among her victims: Chevy Chase, Pamela Anderson, Donald Trump and William Shatner – Lampanelli gets as good as she gives.
