U.K.-based LGBTQ publication Gay Star News is closing immediately after running for eight years.

Gay Star News founders Tris Reid-Smith and Scott Nunn announced the news on the website saying that the publication is “now more widely read, watched and loved by the international LGBTI audience than ever” but “our problem has been entirely financial.”

Alaska Airlines asks gay couple to make room for straight couple or to get off the plane

Alaska Airlines is in clean-up mode after a gay couple was asked to move seats on one of its flights to make room for a straight couple that wanted to sit together.

David Cooley, CEO and founder of The Abbey Food and Bar and The Chapel at the Abbey in West Hollywood, took to Facebook to express his anger with the airline.

Paris Jackson reaffirms she’s been in the LGBTQ community for years

Gay Star News gave a delayed welcome to the LGBTQ community to Paris Jackson, who took to Twitter and Instagram to reemphasize when she came out.

Jackson, a 20-year-old model who currently performs in a duo called “The Soundflowers,” responded to the article and argued that she has been a part of the community for years.
