A modern retelling of the fall of the House of Atreusthis play follows the children of Clytemnestra and Agamemnon, siblings who are both players in the family tragedy and victims of it. The cycle of blood and vengeance seems inescapable until the final reunion of a lost sister and brother brings the bloody family saga to its mystical end.

Boy Scouts president defends gay tolerance compromise in final speech

Dallas (AP) – Robert Gates became the Boy Scouts of America’s president facing deep divisions within the organization’s membership over whether to let gays serve openly in its ranks.

On May 26, Gates finished his two-year term by arguing the Scouts had overcome that challenge and were ready to reverse years of membership declines.

With funding finalized, The Center’s renovation moves ahead

Orlando – The GLBT Center of Central Florida is looking for a few good men (and women).

On Dec. 8, The Orlando City Commission gave final approval to a $146,500 to renovate The Center’s headquarters on Mills Avenue, paving the way for the bidding process to begin. Terry DeCarlo, executive director of The Center, said it is hiring roofers first because that has to be fixed before the board can move ahead with other renovations. DeCarlo said the architect plans are also almost complete.
