Court dismisses Olivia de Havilland’s ‘Feud’ lawsuit against Ryan Murphy

Olivia de Havilland’s lawsuit against Ryan Murphy and FX for Catherine Zeta-Jones’ portrayal of the iconic actress in “Feud: Bette and Joan” has been dismissed by the California Court of Appeals 2nd Appellate District.

According to Deadline, the lawsuit claimed the character hurt her “professional reputation for integrity, honesty, generosity, self-sacrifice and dignity.”

‘RuPaul’s Drag Race,’ ‘Feud’ earn Emmy nominations

The 69th Primetime Emmy Awards nominations were unveiled Thursday morning with both “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and “Feud: Bette and Joan” earning nominations.

“Westworld” and “Saturday Night Live” received the most with 22 nominations each. “Feud: Bette and Joan” received a nomination for Best Limited Series and “RuPaul’s Drag Race” is a contender for Best Reality Competition Program. RuPaul is up for Best Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program.

Hollywood legend sues Ryan Murphy, FX over ‘Feud’ depiction

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Hollywood great Olivia de Havilland is launching her own sequel to the TV series “Feud” – a lawsuit.

The double Oscar-winning actress sued FX Networks and producer Ryan Murphy’s company, alleging unauthorized and false use of her name and invasion of privacy.
