Lady Gaga surprised fans who attended her “Enigma” show at the Park Theater in Las Vegas on Saturday night with a special performance with her “A Star is Born” co-star, Bradley Cooper.

Cooper was in attendance at the show when Gaga announced she was bringing him on stage to sing her finale song.

Lady Gaga paused her Las Vegas show “Enigma” on Saturday to give some political commentary on the government shutdown and Karen Pence’s new teaching job.

“If the fucking President of the United States could please put our government back in business,” Gaga said in the middle of performing “A Million Reasons” on the piano. “There are people who live paycheck to paycheck and need their money.”

Tampa Bay LGBTQ sports leagues hold inaugural winter event

LGBTQ athletes and supporters from across Tampa Bay will hold the inaugural winter Tampa Bay LGBTQ+ Sports Day at Enigma Jan. 13.

Presented in partnership with Tampa and St Pete Pride, the gathering seeks to raise awareness about LGBTQ athletic opportunities throughout Tampa Bay. It follows the creation of an area marketing group focused on LGBTQ sports, spearheaded by Suncoast Softball League (SSL) Producer and Tampa Pride LGBTQ+ Sports Liaison Gerre Reynolds as well as fellow SSL Hall of Fame player Andrew Cohen.

Tampa Bay Overheard: Loss of a Legend

Tampa Bay performer and local legend Aspen Love was laid to rest on Nov. 11 at Smith’s Funeral Home in St. Petersburg.

Community members mourned the loss of their friend and sister, quickly announcing multiple celebrations of life and benefit shows to help with expenses. Hamburger Mary’s Clearwater, along with Empath Partners in Care, announced that the Nov. 13 Drag Queen Bingo was held to remember the performer. Proceeds from the event were donated to Love’s family.

Tampa Bay’s LGBTQ community gives back in Hurricane Irma’s wake

TAMPA BAY | In preparation for Hurricane Irma, residents of Tampa Bay ransacked grocery stores, emptied gas pumps, boarded windows and exhausted the words “hunkered down.”

Bottled water became liquid gold before and after the storm passed through, carbs became a must-buy again, and following Irma’s destruction, residents found themselves tasked with extensive clean-up efforts and—in many cases—in the dark.

ST. PETERSBURG | Following a tragic motorcycle accident that cost Enigma bartender Ryan Stroehlein his life on July 11, the St. Petersburg LGBTQ community came together to honor his memory and raise funds for his surviving passenger.

On July 27, the Enigma family hosted its “Celebration of Life for Ryan Stroehlein,” which included a video tribute of the late bartender, a breathtaking floral arrangement in his honor and most dearly, words of remembrance, love and support from and for Stroehlein’s friends and family.

Enigma, voted Favorite Local LGBTQ Bar/Club and Favorite LGBTQ Happy Hour, was opened just before St. Pete Pride in 2014 by Ed Gonzalez who started his own bar after working many years at Georgie’s Alibi.

“I get a lot of, ‘You look so familiar,’” she says with a laugh.“I’m not the boastful type so I usually just end up saying ‘Oh yeah, I don’t know why,’ but then I have friends that will start yelling, ‘She was on Idol!’ Leave it to a friend to call you out.”
