While setting the stage for its August 2019 outing, GayDayS paves way for June 2020 return

In the story “The Wizard Of Oz,” a young girl named Dorothy—with dog Toto in hand—is taken over the rainbow by a tornado to the magical land of Oz. While there, she encounters a cast of characters that help her on her journey to the Emerald City to meet the Wizard of Oz who she says can get her back to her home in Kansas because, as she realizes by the end of the story, “there’s no place like home.”

Some similarities between that classic story and the events of GayDayS makes it even more fitting that next year’s theme for GayDayS, which will also be the 30th Anniversary of the original Gay Day at the Magic Kingdom, will be “Emerald City” as the organization returns its events back to its traditional dates in June.

GayDayS Inc. moving host hotels, possible date change for 2019

ORLANDO | GayDayS Inc. will be right where you left it at the DoubleTree by Hilton at Sea World for 2018, but the Central Florida event–one of the largest LGBTQ events in the world–will be making a move in 2019.

GayDayS Inc. co-owner Chris Alexander-Manley says that the initial need to move is due to scheduling conflicts at the DoubleTree.

GayDayS Expo at the DoubleTree at Sea World

One of the highlights from GayDays this past week was the huge LGBTQ Expo at the DoubleTree by Hilton at Sea World June 1-4.

The GayDayS Expo, second only in size to New York’s LGBTQ Expo, had more than 150 vendors ranging from LGBTQ businesses, non-profits, services, clothing lines, pharmacies, animal shelters and more.

Leather shows its softer side at inaugural Mr. GayDays Leather competition

The harnesses were appropriately hooked (or inappropriately, depending upon which side of evident ball gags you stood) as the night inched toward the end of this years big gay weekend June 4.

Though there was some evidence of mischief involved – the throbbing bass lines of predatory sound-tracking certainly made for some Amsterdam ambiance – the event was surprisingly representative of the kinder side of the leather community.

John Michael Events, Watermark Media and the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Downtown put on the largest LGBT Wedding Show in Central Florida June 14.

The event played host to more than 100 people who had the chance to meet with 30+ vendors including; caterers, photographers, videographers, florists, DJ’s, cake bakers, ministers and much more.
