Church postpones child’s baptism because he has two dads

An Orlando gay couple took to social media when their child was turned away from baptism at the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Luke because they are gay.

Rich McCaffrey and his husband Eric were to have their son, Jack, baptized before the church congregation of St. Luke’s on April 19, but instead were notified three days before that the church forbade the ceremony.

Oklahoma man denied gay rights license plate

Oklahoma City (AP) — An Edmond man says the Oklahoma Tax Commission denied a vanity license plate that supported the LGBT community.

John Patrick Keefe II says he wanted a personalized license plate that read “LGBTALY,” which is an abbreviated version of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender ally.

Bradenton man sues Cracker Barrel for harassment

Tampa, Fla. (AP) – A man has filed a discrimination lawsuit against Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in federal court, saying that he was discriminated against because he is gay.

John Bostick filed the lawsuit May 17 in Tampa. He was hired by Cracker Barrel in 2008 a manager trainee and worked at one of the company’s restaurants in Bradenton, Fla.
