The new “Titans” trailer gave the first look of Chella Man — a deaf, genderqueer actor and model — as Jericho.

Jericho is the son of Deathstroke (Esai Morales) in the series. After his vocal cords are severed during his kidnapping, Jericho must communicate through sign language. He can also control people’s bodies and voices through eye contact.

Matt Bomer stars in the new dramatic comedy, ‘Papi Chulo’

In “Papi Chulo”—written and directed by John Butler—openly gay actor Matt Bomer plays Sean, a TV weatherman who has an onscreen breakdown. His sensitive but ratings-obsessed boss Ash, played by Wendi McLendon-Covey, gives him a leave of absence. Unfortunately, the recently single Sean doesn’t know what to do with the time and repeatedly calls his ex Carlos to get his voicemail.

Sean soon notices his home needs repairs, leading him to hire migrant worker Ernesto, played by Alejandro Patiño. Lacking companionship, Sean loses sight of boundaries and socializes with Ernesto in spite of the language barrier and the fact that he is a straight, married man.

Deaf, genderqueer actor Chella Man lands role on DC’s ‘Titans’

Deaf, genderqueer actor and model Chella Man has been cast as Jericho in DC Universe’s series “Titans.”

Jericho is the son of villain Deathstroke, played by Esai Morales in the series. After Jericho’s vocal chords are severed during his kidnapping, he now communicates through sign language and can control people’s bodies and voices through eye contact.
