‘Wonder Woman’ comics writer reveals character is gay

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The writer of the reborn Wonder Woman comics has revealed that the character is gay.

Greg Rucka tells Comicosity that since Wonder Woman comes from the fictional all-female island nation of Themyscira, she “has been in love and had relationships with other women.”

Alternative comics have married different modes of expression (i.e. art, film, literature) within the boundaries of the panel. CW’s Archie-inspired show “Riverdale” casts gay character

The CW is developing a new TV series based on the long-running, popular comic book Archie and it will include Kevin Keller, the first openly gay character in the Archie universe.

The show, called Riverdale after the fictional town the Archie gang live in, will be a drama that “explores the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale’s wholesome façade,” according to the show’s producers.

The Iceman cometh out in new X-Men comics

Iceman, also known as Bobby Drake, is pulled out of the closet, according to leaked pages from the April 22 issue of All-New X-Men #40, by fellow X-Men, Jean Grey.
