ST. PETERSBURG | Metro Inclusive Health‘s annual Cocktail Party featuring recording artist Deborah Cox raised nearly $110,000 on Nov. 9.

Metro utilizes the annual event to raise awareness and funds for its essential health and community services. The organization served more than 27,000 individuals in Tampa Bay last year and is on course to significantly increase that number in 2019.

ST. PETERSBURG | Metro Inclusive Health and The Dru Project will present “Stonewall to Pulse: A Community Discussion” June 26, an inter-generational event featuring panelists who have experienced LGBTQ milestones firsthand.

The presentation “brings together individuals who experienced some of the most significant events, movements and moments in LGBTQ+ history,” the organizations announced June 1, “including the Stonewall Riots, Pulse Massacre, participation in ACT UP AIDS activism and the brutal murder of Matthew Shepard.”

ST. PETERSBURG | Metro Inclusive Health welcomed the public into its 47,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art health and community center for its grand opening celebration on Feb. 9.

The organization, which unveiled its new name and branding Jan. 29, highlighted its many offerings with tours of its updated space as staff and clients alike provided personal testimony. Attendees were treated to a number of activities, a complimentary cookout and entertainment from the Scott and Patti show.

Metro announces grand opening for state-of-the-art health and community center

ST. PETERSBURG | Metro Wellness and Community Centers will welcome the public into its new, state-of-the-art health and community center during a grand opening celebration Feb. 9.

Metro currently offers personalized health and wellness services in St. Petersburg, Tampa, Clearwater and New Port Richey. The organization first began transforming its St. Petersburg location after purchasing the 47,000-square-foot building it called home in partnership with CAN Community Health in 2016. At the time, they utilized only 18,000 square feet of the campus.
